I&rsquo;m amazed by a couple of teachings of <a title=\"Wikipedia: Epicurus\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Epicurus\" target=\"_blank\">Epicurus<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Wealth does not necessarily mean happiness. (In fact, relishing simple indulgences tends to make one happier than acquiring a sophisticated taste.)<\/li>\n<li>In order to be happy, you should surround yourself with friends.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This reads straight out of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0743222989?ie=UTF8&amp;tag=poojanblog-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=390957&amp;creativeASIN=0743222989\">Seligman&#8217;s Authentic Happiness<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin: 0px; border-top-style: none! important; border-right-style: none! important; border-left-style: none! important; border-bottom-style: none! important\" height=\"1\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/www.assoc-amazon.com\/e\/ir?t=poojanblog-20&amp;l=as2&amp;o=1&amp;a=0743222989\" width=\"1\" border=\"0\" \/> (among other places).
